Casey Eichfeld
C-2 Stern PaddlerMeet Casey, born in Harrisburg, PA on November 15, 1989. Casey is the son of Steve and Kathy Eichfeld. he is currently enrolled in Distance Program at Keystone National High school. At the age of eighteen months, on a family canoe trip mesmerized by the movement and sound of water, and he began a journey that is far from over. At the age of two Casey discovered slalom gates and whitewater. He raced C-2 with his father at age five, and solo C-1 at age six. At the age of eight, Casey was the youngest National slalom Cadet Team member in U.S. history, the youngest solo competitor at a U.S. Whitewater Slalom Nationals, and by age 14 he was competing in Europe. Casey was recognized as one of the "Paddlers of the Next Century" in June 2000 issue of Paddler magazine. In the sports Illustrated for Kids October 2000 Olympic issue, Casey was listed as a future "Olympic Hotshot".
